Taco's 87 Supra Build

This is my '87 supra, it began life as a 7mgte r154 5spd. I bought it with a "drop in" crappy jdm 7m that threw a rod within 3 weeks. I rebuilt it for shits in giggles, and found myself not sleeping at night from the 'rod knock' woes that plague 7m owners..so i bought a 2jz-ge. The plans are TT pistons/gasket, FFIM, t67, and Megasquirt.

The 2J looks sooo much moar better than the 7M.

any idea how long til the 2j is ready?

i'm shooting for next summer, but i'm not one to work with timelines

timelines are nearly impossibe to follow in the car world, you'll start a quick project and it may take a week or several years or you may become ocd and fly through the project just so you can play with it and plan the next one.....i just hope you have the 2j in by the time i get home, youll have to take me for a spin...ive only seen the power of a 2j never felt it ya know?

I'm sure i'll be looking for every possible excuse to drive it lol

We're getting up there, hash. I don't know how it will happen but I'm going to try to be hitting at least low 12s by the end of 2010. Hopefully by the end of summer.
