Tranny porn!

So 95's are a one year trans, I picked up a Goodwrench reman with low miles for stupid cheap a few months back.

For now I'm adding a Transgo shift kit, Vette 2nd gear piston, Transgo 1-2 accumulator and foward clutch piston.

The trans in my truck currently has 185K and is the original with only minor valve body work done after I bought it. If it continues to work after driving home and back for Christmas I'll be pulling this extra completely apart and changing to a 5 pinion planetary, red eagle clutches, upgraded sprag, red eagle band, a beast sun shell, and rebuilding and converting the pump to a 13 vane.

The 2nd apply piston lies under this cover and the 4th apply piston.

The kit came with an upgraded Isolator & Converter Regulator valve, it's behind this plug

There was a spring added behind the pressure control solenoid, but forgot to take a pic



A new stronger forward accumulator piston on left, the hole on the right had a steel ball and spring added.



This pin holds the 1-2 accumulator bushing/spring/valve. The valve body was drilled through the top so this pin can be pulled and springs can be swapped by just pulling the pan off.

I broke the connector off the PWM solenoid during all this, shop sent me one for a 96+ trans so I'm waiting on that still.

After the ultra-genius move of pulling the pump after putting the TCC solenoid back in, I now have an aluminum snout instead of brittle plastic. haha

Hey Dan, so you have a dead PWM solenoid in your trans now? It's only about $20, swap it when you pull the pan.

Ah, but mine's not accessible from the pan area. Being a FWD, the vlave body is on the side of the trans. I have to buy a $50 solenoid, remove the majority of my driver's side suspension, lower the driver's side of the cradle, and remove the side cover, praying to God that I don't mess up the gasket, because it's nearly $100 for a replacement... And, if I'm going to do that much work, I'll replace the PCS and both shift solenoids since they've all got 125K on them (another $150).

I was going to order the pieces from tripleedgeperformance.com. The guy builds the best 4T65e-HD transmissions.

With those prices, though, I'll be getting them from there. BTW, the first link was the pan gasket, not the side cover gasket, but that's a good price on them.

Total cost including: parts, screw-up parts, tools, AND transmission; just under $350

My truck SLAMMED into reverse today, so this might be going in sooner than later.

I get to do that in about 2 weeks...except the whole thing will be coming apart, new clutch packs and conversion to 4l65e (upgrade to 5 gear planetaries)

Nice, I plan to do that in the future if the one in the truck last a while longer. Kayaking and snowboarding take fundage priorities right now, lol.
